Lottie (Kings Choice) has been sold. John Bevan, Pete Appleford, Roger and Gill Trivett her owners and I, were so sad to see her go, but she has gone to some lovely people in Northern Ireland, where hopefully she will take their daughter on to great success in the junior Irish teams.
Billy, Bobby and Joey have come on in leaps and bounds through their BE 100 events, and all 3 went beautifully at their first novice event at Bicton Horse Trials on Saturday. They are now having a holiday as have learnt so much. I’m very excited about their future, and keep saying to people that if they turn out to be top class horses I am not going to just give them to Emily, I am going to ride them myself!! I will be looking for owners for them in the future.
Emily is flying out to Poland tomorrow with the rest of the GB Young Rider team, and I am flying out to support the team on Wednesday. Loxley and the other British horses travelled out by road taking a couple of days to get there….so everything crossed that things go well.
Fantastic news regarding Tess – she is in foal to Cevin Z!! She has just had the all important heartbeat scan, and there it was fluttering away, hurray!
The British Open Championships at Gatcombe was as wonderful event as ever, but sadly the rain didn’t come in time which caused quite a few withdrawals, including Emily with Brookleigh. But I was busy with my book sales (remember you can order copies through acanthuspress.co.uk) There were some wonderful trade stands, I loved trying on Fairfax and Favours beautiful boots!
I was asked to do a photoshoot on Dartmoor last week to help promote ‘The Dartmoor Derby’ Please visit dartmoorderby.com to see details.
I have also had some more wonderful Horserail fitted around a couple of my paddocks, it looks so smart, and is maintenance free.
