This is a quick pre Christmas update. The horses are still on holiday, and are doing very well despite all the wet weather. I am sure they will be happy though to come back into work at the beginning of January.
I have just returned from a lovely part work, part holiday in the US. I was asked to talk at the US Eventing Association’s Convention held at Colorado Springs. David came with me and we had a few days skiing just before and then flew to Mexico for a few days sun after which was lovely.
We came back just in time to go to The BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards…but sadly Freddie was injured in a football match that morning so I spent the rest of the day with him in A&E! Watching it on TV wasn’t quite the same as being there, but it still bought back wonderful memories of such a fabulous year! (Freddie can’t weight bear, but luckily no fracture).
Emily enjoyed her time in Sweden, and has just spent 3 weeks with the Funnells helping with the many young horses(80 approx) they have in work, which are part of their successful breeding scheme. It was a great opportunity for her and she loved it!
Have a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS, and fingers crossed for a drier 2013!
