Spring update

It has been very exciting competing at the bigger home International events during the last month. Billy and Bobby both completed the first Intermediates of their career at Belton and Burnham Market Horse Trials, and Joey did his first intermediate at Bicton. I was so proud of them all – it is a big stepping stone in an event horses career when they upgrade successfully to a higher level, especially if they are homebreds! They will now drop back and do one Open Novice, to keep them really confident (not that their confidence seems to need boosting!), then they will progress at Intermediate level. Billy is aiming for the CCI* at Houghton at the end of May, and Bobby and Joey for Tattersalls CCI* (for 6 and 7yr olds) at the beginning of June.

Emily has been also going well with her bunch. Her 3 young horses have just progressed successfully to Novice level, and her 3 more experienced ones have been going well at CIC** and CIC*** level. She is still looking hard for a couple more talented young horses for owners, but no luck yet.

The ground went so quickly from being very wet, to bone dry. But luckily managed to get out on our fields with with our Logic Pro-Harrow and Logic Ballast roller to tidy up the paddocks after the winter.

Emily and I have spent some time doing photoshoots for Marksway HorseHage (both of us) and Hiho (Emily), plus filming for Nedzbed and Mitsubishi Motors.

Not long now until the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials. It is frustrating that neither Emily or I are riding there this year, but we still have plenty to do for different sponsors.
